Fresh Indian firing across LoC kills 70-year-old

RAWALPINDI: Fresh Indian firing from across the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday evening left Muhammad Din, 70, dead, the military said in a statement.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), unprovoked Indian firing killed Din, a resident of Chrikot sector.
Din, son of Sultan, was grazing his goats near LoC when Indian forces opened fire.
The Pakistani forces responded effectively to Indian firing.
Unprovoked Indian firing in recent weeks has claimed 15 lives on this side of the border.
Earlier in October, Pakistan’s permanent representative to United Nations urged the body to play its role in defusing tension on the LoC.
