FOUR MEMBERS OF A FAMILY DIED WHILE A CHILD INJURED

SHIKARPUR: At least four members of a family including a woman were died while another child sustained injuries due to wall of Rice Go-down collapsed on to a house which was situated near Go-down at Karampur District Kashmore-Kandhkot on Friday early in the morning.
As per details the wall of Rice Go-down owned by Jeewat Ram was collapsed on to a house of Jan Muhammad Mirani.
As a result of incident Jan Muhammad Mirani his wife Naziran their son and daughter identified as Sabir Ali and Razia were died on the spot while another child identified as Abid Hussain Mirani sustained injuries.
Source said that the wall of Go-down had weak due to torrential rain therefore wall of Go-down collapsed on to a house of Jan Muhammad Mirani.
Area police shifted the dead bodies of the deceased to Karampur Hospital for conducting the postmortem examination after having conducted the postmortem examination the dead bodies of the deceased persons handed over to their heirs.
While injured child admitted in local Hospital of Karampur for medical treatment.
FIR was not registered till this story was filed.

WORLD BREAST FEEDING WEEK CELEBRATED

SHIKARPUR: To promote the Breast feeding and its importance, the awareness sessions and walks from different sites including from District Health Office, Hiranand Ganga Bai Women Hospital and Taluka Hospital Garhi Yasin were taken out while keeping placards and banners in their hands and IYCF Kits were distributed amongst the lactating mothers on the occasion of World Breast Feeding Week in District Shikarpur by Save the Children with the collaboration of European Union and with the joint support of Department of Health, People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative PPHI Sindh here on Friday.
The big walk was taken out from Shikarpur District Health Office (DHO) led by District Health Officer Dr. Captain Muneer Ahmed Jokhio and Sr. Coordinator Nutrition Save the Children Upper Sindh Asfandyar Khan.
The large number of male / female participants from Department of Health, People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative-PPHI Sindh, Save the Children Upper Sindh and others took part in walk and other activities.
Speaking on the occasion, the Nutrition staff while spreading awareness said that the Mother’s Milk is Best Medicine in the Word and Mother Milk is natural immunization for children/infants which is God gifted there is no any comparison of mother’s Milk.
And encouraged the Mother’s for breast feeding and discourage the formula milk or bottle feeding
Breast Milk has 500 ingredients including White Blood cells and antiviral as well as antibacterial agents which promote the healthy life. Whereas Formula Milk has only 40 ingredients.
