KARACHI: Pakistan Government of Sindh Energy Department getting ready to attend the 38th International Conference by the International Associations of Energy Economics (IAEE), which will be held this year in Antalya during the 25-27 May 2015.
IAEE elected president and professor at the Bogaziçi University Prof. Dr. Gurkan Kumbarogluhas visited the Government of Sindh Energy Department during his trip to Karachi, where he is attending the 13th International Energy Exposition and is the key note speaker at the 11th International Oil-Gas and Energy Industry Conference.
Prof. Dr. Gurkan Kumbaroglu has shared with the Government of Sindh Energy Department Secretary Agha Wasif Abbas the 38 years experience and research of the IAEE, which has international key market player cooperation institutions in the energy sector as well as various Nobel laureates among its members.
Kumbaroglu has received great support from the Abbas for his statement that in order for Pakistan to benefit the full from the international synergies IAEE, with its presence in over 100 countries and more than 4500 members, has to offer, there is a need for the establishment of an affiliate in Pakistan.
Secretary Abbas, who has stated that the IAEE Pakistan affiliate will be of tremendous importance for the correct guidance of the country’s economic potential has promised to be personally responsible of the follow–up of this establishment.

Kumbaroglu has invited secretary Abbas to attend the 38th İnternational Conference of the IAEE which will be held during the 25-27 May 2015 in Antalya.
Kumbaroglu has stated that the traditionally held series of conferences which will have more than 500 professional participants from over 100 countries, is going to bring together businessmen in the international energy market, top level technical experts, bureaucrats, academicians and researchers.
Abbas has confirmed with certainty their participation of the conference,which according to Kumbaroglu would constitute a great opportunity for them to present their research and Pakistan, which is among the main countries with a big energy deficit, on an international platform where the topic of energy will be discussed from each aspect.
