ISLAMABAD:Vice-Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Shah Mehmood Qureshi Tuesday said both the Government and PTI agreed to continue talks at the end of fourth round, saying the fifth round of talks would be held tomorrow.
Deliberations between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) continued on Tuesday as the two sides sat down for the fourth round of talks at a local hotel.
The ice was broken by Minister for Information and Broadcast Pervez Rasheed after he placed a call to PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and suggested continuing the dialogue.
The PTI negotiating team, led by Qureshi, includes veteran politician Javed Hashmi as well as Jahangir Tareen, Asad Umer, Arif Alvi and Pervez Khattak.
The government team is led by Rasheed and comprises of ministers Ishaq Dar, Saadi Rafique and Zahid Hamid.
Talking to DawnNews before the meeting got underway; Qureshi said that PTI will not back down from its demand of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation.
