ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Thursday issued the polling schemes of by-elections in three constituencies of Punjab including NA-122, NA-144.
According to the details issued by the ECP, 284 polling stations will be established in NA-122, while 284 presiding officers and 673 assistant presiding officers will be deputed to hold the by-election.
The total number of the registered voters in NA-122 is around 347,000 and out of them the strength of the male voters in this constituency is 190,328 and female voters 157,434. Seven candidates from political parties and nine independent candidates are participating in NA-122 election, said spokesman of the ECP.
The ECP would also establish 210 polling stations in NA-144, where total strength of voters is 316,370 with 173,951 male and 142,419 female voters. Five independent and four candidates from political parties are in the run for NA-144 seat.
He said 117 polling stations will be set up in PP-147 where total
registered voters are 140,707 including 77,729 male and 63,038 female voters. Eleven candidates are contesting election for PP-147.
