THARPARKAR: Drought-like situation in Tharparkar have caused losses of two more newborn babies on Friday. Nine days old Aveesh son Heera Lal and newborn baby of Mr. Mola Bux are died during last 24 hours in Civil Hospital Mithi. Death toll has touched the figure of 29 children in the month of July 2014and increasing day by day.
Makhdoom Jamil-ul-Zaman, Minister for Relief and Revenue reached the Mithi and presided a high level meeting with the related officials about drought situation at Darbar Hall, D.C office Mithi.
Later, Makhdoom Jamil-ul-Zaman talked with media persons and said that continuous death of children is very sadness and he is worried about it.
He further said, Chief Minister Sindh have also taken the notice of the situation and issued the directives to all related ministers to reach at Mithi and enquire the situation.
Minister was of the views that he has reached here over the directions of Chief Minister, Sindh and will monitor the all relief work; there is food insecurity in Tharparkar.
Makhdoom futher said Government will never leave alone the people of Tharparkar and third installment of wheat will be distributed very soon. Summary for releasing of 1 Lac, 26 thousand bags of wheat has sent to Chief Minister for necessary approval.
Makhdoom Jamil-ul-Zaman, Minister for Relief also directed Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar to ensure the health facilities and clean drinking water for the inhabitants and negligence would never be accepted.
Dr. Mahesh Kumar Malani, District President PPP Tharparkar & MPA and Faqeer Sher Muhammad Bilalani also briefed the Minister about the present situation of Tharparkar.
Munwar Mahesar Additional relief commissioner, Salman Shah DG PDMA, Dr. Hafeez DG Health, Assistant Commissioners and all officials of Health, Education and Livestock departments were also present on that occasion.
