MULTAN, June 29 (APP): Dr. Dil Bagh Muhammad took over the charge of Central Cotton Research Institute (CCRI) Multan as new director on Wednesday.
The noted agriculture scientist was working as head of agronomy and transfer of technology department of CCRI Multan before he was given the new assignment by Pakistan Central Cotton Committee (PCCC), says an official release.
He began his career as research officer in CCRI Multan and promoted to senior scientific officer rank in 1994. He was assigned to work as head of agronomy department of CCRI in 2007.
The scientist is also contributing services to International Potash Institute (IPI) Switzerland and agronomy component of Icarda. Dr. Bagh developed an integrated method of Bed and Furrow sowing with drip irrigation system for cotton and introduced method of weeds control in cotton sown in wheat field.
