NEW YORK: Pakistani national Dr. Afia Siddiqui who is serving an 86-year term in a US prison has filed an appeal against her punishment in the federal court.
Dr. Afia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist, has stated in her appeal that her 86-year imprisonment ordered by a court in 2010 be declared null and void.
Dr. Siddiqui was awarded 86 years of imprisonment by a US federal court, after her conviction for opening fire at US troops in Afghanistan besides 6 other counts.
