Dozens of Punjab villages inundated due to floods

MUZAFFARGARH: Due to heavy rains, the River Sindh on Tuesday flooded, resulting in inundation of dozens of adjoining villages in Punjab.
According to details, dozens of villages in Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Kehror Lall Ussain and Kot Mithan have been inundated.
The embankments have collapsed in Dera Ghazi Khan, while the authorities have opened spillways of the Tarbela Dam.
At least 450,000 cusecs water is passing through River Sindh at Muzaffargarh point. The authorities have shut down more than 200 canals due to flood in Head Taunsa. These canals include Muzaffargarh Canal, Dera Ghazi Khan Canal and TP Link.
