KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that the issues of doctors will be resolved soon. The problem of the doctors including time scale and Board II need appropriate attention. This he said while talking to a delegation of Sindh Doctors Welfare Association here in his office on Thursday.
The delegation was comprised of Dr. Mujtaba Memon, Dr. Sahahid Qureshi, Dr. Usman Mako and Dr. Nisar Ali shah. The members of the delegation apprised the Provincial Minister for health about their issues. While assuring the delegation about his full support the provincial Minister said that Sindh health Department was fully committed to redress the grievances of the doctors and it was also the responsibility of the doctors to serve the patients dedicatedly. Action was being taken against the ghost doctors, the Minister added.
Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar said that the departmental promotion committee should be held regularly in order to remove restlessness among the doctors and to serve the patients was a great service to the humanity.
POLITICAL GRAFFITI TO BE REMOVED FROM HOSPITALS: JAM MEHTAB HUSSAIN DAHAR
KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has directed the administration of public hospitals to remove political banners, flags and graffiti from the premises of hospitals; moreover the premises of hospitals should not be used for political purposes. This he said while presiding over a meeting in his office on Thursday. He directed that conducive atmosphere for the patients be evolved so that the proper Health Services could be dispensed. He further directed to treat the patients humanly and extraordinary care should be taken for the medical treatment of the patients.
Minister Health further said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has given clear directions that provision for free of cost medicines must be ensured, in this regard any negligence would not be tolerated.
Beside this Sindh Health Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar while taking serious notice of non availability of gynaecologist in Civil Hospital Umerkot, has directed Special Secretary Health to immediately appoint Lady Gynaecologist in Umerkot Civil Hospital in order to redress the problems of the pregnant female patients. Provincial Health Minister also took notice of flowing polio drops on the ground in certain areas of Karachi by polio workers during polio campaign and directed the authorities concerned to take strict action against these workers who showed criminal negligence.

KARACHI: Special Assistant to CM Sindh for Culture and Tourism MS Sharmila Faruqui has taken serious notice over illegal construction by land Mafia at Heritage site Lakhian Jo Daro.
She has directed commissioner Sukkur to remove encroachment and stop illegal construction and provide security to historical sites. Commissioner Sukkur took rapid action against the land grabbers and vacated the site from the possession of criminals.
She ordered secretary Culture Tourism and Antiquities Aijaz Memon to probe the matter and submit report as soon as possible. Aijaz Memon informed the Special Assistant that Show cause notice has been issued to Director Archeology Sindh Qasim Ali Qasim over the irregularities and delay of construction work of Boundary wall to secure the heritage site.
Sindh government is well aware about the value and importance of Historical heritage sites which are our assets, she added. She has further directed that construction work of boundary wall at Lakhian Jo Daro should be started.
World Children’s Day observed in Sukkur
SUKKUR: USAID`s Sindh Basic Education Programme (SBEP) Sindh, celebrated the World Children’s Day at Government Girls Primary School Hajiani Bakhtawar School Sukkur here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Director SBEP Abdul Hameed Bullo said that it was the need of the hour to invest in the children in the forms of time, quality education and value building that would be immensely beneficial as they are the future of the country.
He said the education for boys and girls is the key to success. Education enables Pakistan’s youth to contribute towards building a prosperous and democratic Pakistan. That is why USAID and the Sindh government are partnering together he said and added that, We want to ensure that children throughout Sindh get the education they need to fulfill their potential to become successful, capable citizens.”
Bullo said that true and lasting development starts with education adding that the Government of Sindh and USAID are also determined to work together to enhance the level of girls’ enrollment in schools. All these efforts will improve the quality of and access to education for children of Sindh, especially girls.”
Speaking on the occasion, District Officer (DO) Education Sukkur Haji Muhammad Buriro said thanked USAID/ SBEP to given opportunity to celebrate this day and promised that the Community Mobilization Program would receive full cooperation by the education department in Sukkur.
The staff of the school tastefully decorated the school building.
Later Deputy Director SBEP and DO education distributed prizes and gifts amongst the participating children and winners of the essay and Mehndi Competition.
