LARKANA: Director education Larkana Ahsan Ahmed Soomro paid surprise visits of different government schools in Larkana city and directed concerned officers of his department to ensure attendance of teachers and students.
Director education visited the several schools among government girls higher secondary school Munwarabad Larkana, government High School Waleed Muhalla, Sheikh Zaid High school Larkana and others, he found the several teachers absent and directed the concerned authority to stop salaries of ghost teachers and ensure their availability of teaching faculty.
On the occasion, renowned social activist and columnist A R Mangi expressed his views while talking with media, said that civil society and parent should play their respective role to ensure the attendance of their children in schools, education is basic right of every child, added that there are several flaws in education system, which needs to be reformed.
A R Mangi said that after the 18th amendment, all relating matters were handed over to provinces but provincial government failed to formulate the education policies , adding that despite of entering into the 21st century, we are away from millennium goal.
He said that government should introduce the uniform the policy and ensuring the parity in all aspects including syllabus and curriculum.
