KARACHI: Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has suspended District Food Controller Naushehro Feroze Asghar Ali Naich over his poor performance and assigned Muhammad Bachal as new District Food Controller Naushehro Feroze. In a statement issued here on Friday, Sindh Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has also warned the District Food Controllers of Hyderabad, Matiari, Mirpurkhas and other officers of Region to improve their performance or they may be sent to their homes. He asked the officers concerned to achieve the target of wheat procurement and do their job honesty and effectively.
BRITISH COUNCIL DELEGATE CALLS ON CHIEF SECRETARY SINDH
KARACHI: Chief Secretary Sindh Sajjad Saleem Hotiana has asked the officers of Sindh Education Department to ensure the quality education throughout the province and facilitate the students in getting education conveniently as they are mason of the future.
He expressed these views while talking to the Special Secretary Education Nazeer Jamali during a meeting with delegate of British Council led by British Council Director for Sindh & Baluchistan Ms. Barbara Wickham who called on Chief Secretary Sindh at his House on Friday. Her associates Ms. Sumbul Khan Director Arts British Council and Consultant Youth & Society Program (B.C) Ms. Saira were also present.
The British Council delegate briefed the Chief Secretary about various programme of British Council being carried out in Sindh, including 08 centres in remote areas of Sindh of those 06 in Karachi where the students are being educated from Class-1 to 5 and providing the facilities of extra-curricular activities and play & recreation. In addition to this, programme to cater the students of Class-6 to 8 is also on way.
Sajjad Saleem Hotiana assured that all possible assistance would be furnished for this noble cause.
