QUETTA: Security forces on Saturday, in an intelligence based operation, foiled a terror bid which was set to be executed on Defence Day.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the suspected terrorist was planning to carry out attacks in Quetta on the occasion of Defence Day on Sunday.
The arrested man has confessed his links with Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and also admitted to carrying out two attacks in different areas of Quetta which claimed numerous lives.
Six kg of explosives, a remote-controlled improvised explosive device (IED) and nuts and bolts were also recovered from his possession.
