LARKANA: Deputy Commissioner Larkana Javed Ali Jagirani visited the sensitive embankment of River Indus Akil Aghani loop bund and reviewed the arrangements made by Irrigation department
He told media men that all embankments are intact, reserved stones are available on banks of sensitive dykes, concerned department has made contingence plane to deal with water or any untoward situation.
DC Javed Ali Jagirani on the occasion directed the concerned officials of irrigation department to ensure the surveillance of sensitive dykes of river Indus.
Earlier Deputy Commissioner Larkana Javed Ali Jagirani inaugurated the Polio campaign at village Wahid Bux Aghani of district Larkana, on the occasion he urged upon the parents and villagers to administer anti Polio drops to their children and save their children from this fatal disease.
He advised them to keep eye on anti Polio activities, in case, team does not visit your area then contact at register complaint with control room established at DC office Larkana.
Later he visited the government dispensary at village Aghani and reviewed the health services being provided to public, Deputy Commissioner directed the doctors to ensure the availability of required health services and free medicines.
LARKANA: Former Advisor to Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Larkana Awami Itehad leader Ameer Bux Khan Bhutto has said that masses of three provinces Punjab, KPK and Baluchistan have got rid of PPP and it has become provincial party and reduced to SIndh level due to poor policy and rampant corruption of rulers, he expressed these views while addressing the reception party hosted by former Taluka Nazim Larkana Qurban Ali Abbasi in the honor of Larkana Awami Itehad leaders here at Citizen Club on Sunday night.
He further said that PPP rulers misused reconciliation and looted the national wealth on its name, alleged that corrupt PPP leaders have destroyed the institutions and set new example of bad governance in Sindh, adding that DG Rangers during Apex meeting unearthed the 230 billion corruption annually in Karachi involving main extreme political party behind scam.
Talking about the development of Larkana, Ameer Bux Bhutto said that rulers usurped the 27 billion of Larkana Development Package during the past 5 years of PPP government and turning Larkana city into ruins which is shameful for them, he said.
Convener of Larkana Awami Itehad Haji Munwar Ali Abbasi speaking on the occasion said that objective behind the formation of Larkana Awami Itehad was to gather Larkana people on one platform to defeat the PPP in upcoming elections.
He said that new alliance have now formed in Larkana and Kamber Shahdadkot district will be extended to Sindh level, masses are now knocking their doors for seeking help to get rid from these corrupt rulers and bureaucrats,
Larkana Awami Itehad should not be deemed as ordinary step it will change political climax, all anti PPP forces have become active to challenge the PPP in upcoming local body’s elections.

TWO SHOPS GUTTED
SHIKARPUR: Two shops of the essential commodities were completely gutted due to short circuit in Dakhan Naaka Mohalla in the jurisdiction of Garhi Yasin Police Station on Monday early in the morning.
According to reports a fire erupted in a shop due to short circuit and engulfed another shop.
As a result of fire all the luggage of essential commodities which were kept in the shops were reduced to ashes and building was also damaged.
The landlord of the shops named Naveed Ahmed Bhutto rushed on the spot on information of fire but their two shops of essential commodities were completely burnt.
Naveed Ahmed Bhutto fainted on the occasion see their heavy loss worth of millions.
Firefighters rushed three hours late, local sources said.
Landlord of shops Naveed Ahmed Bhutto demanded of the higher authorities to take notice of the matter and provide him financial assistants.
A YOUTH AND A BOY DROWNED INTO THE CANAL IN SEPARATE INCIDENTS.
SHIKARPUR: A youth identified as 24-years old Sultan Ahmed Bhutto was drowned into the Beggari canal when he was swimming into it, in the jurisdiction of Mubarak pur Police Station on Sunday morning.
Local divers were searching the dead body of the deceased youth.
Body of the deceased could not be found till this story was filed.
Another boy identified as eight years old Haji son of Javeed Mirani was drowned into the local canal due to his foot slipped and he fell down into it out side of his village New Amrot in the Jurisdiction of New Amrot Police Station on Sunday morning.
Local divers found the body of the deceased boy from the canal and handed over to his heirs.
Later on, he was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard after offering funeral prayers.
ATTA CHAKI OWNERS DEMAND LOWERING DOWN WHEAT PRICES

HYDERABAD: Atta Chaki Onwers association has demanded from government to sell them the wheat at reduced price instead of granting subsidy on wheat as they said subsidy is taken away by officers in corruption. A delegation of Atta Chaki owners led by its president Haji Hafeez Khanzada and comprising vice president Haji Muhammad Mubin, general secretary Haroon Arain, joint secretary Farooq Qmar and treasurer Haji Imtiazddin Abbasi called on newly posted district food controller Nasrullah Chandio and welcomed his postingh\. On this occasion Haji Hafeez Khanzada said if the Sindh government wants to provide relief to poor people then it should do away with subsidy of billions of rupees during Ramzan which is taken away as corruption by officers and supply the wheat to them on reduced rates so that people can get flour at cheaper rates. He said around 200 Atta Chakis of Hyderabad city were providing wheat flour to consumers without extracting Sooji Meda. The DFC assured them of his full cooperation to solving their problems.

He said the strike of MQM on 14 June was not against budget but in name of budget it was in fact call of MQM against statement of Rangers on extortion in Karachi.He said MQM which was accusing PPP and N league till yesterday has now extended hand of friendship to them to save its falling wall. He said MQM was now fighting war for its survival. Those who used to sell Mainpuri and Chhole in past are now millionaires. He said PPP and MQM has always looted their voters. He announced that his party will take full part in local bodies elections and will not give space to Jagirdars, Waders,extortionists and terrorists. He made appeal to all Sindh loving forces and parties to get united and join hands with SNP to defeat the vested interests.
