ISLAMABAD, Apr 22 (INP) Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal says China-Pakistan Economic Corridor would be a ‘fate changer’ not only for Pakistan but China, South and Central Asia regions as well.
Talking to a news channel, he said Pakistan and China’s bilateral geo-political relations have been transformed into geo-economic ties with launching of the Economic Corridor.
He said foolproof security would be provided to Chinese engineers working at the construction sites.
To a question, the Minister said coal power generation projects are being launched in collaboration with China using ‘Super Critical Technology’, after recommendation of the Asian Development Bank.
The project would have no negative environmental effect as the technology is of international standard.
To another question, he said India should think positively about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor instead of resorting to Pakistan bashing on the project for regional development.
The Minister said Pakistan never panicked about India’s relations with international community including its recent agreements with the United States.
