Court stops Chairman PEMRA from doing work

ISLAMABAD: Two men bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended a decision by single bench over Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Chairman Arshad Chaudhary’s restoration.
According to details, a 2-man bench consisting of Justice Shaukat Siddiqui and Justice Athar Manulah reserved decision after hearing an inter-court appeal against the restoration of Chairman PEMRA which was announced later.
While the earlier decision by single bench of PEMRA Chairman has been suspended and Chairman PERMA has been stopped from doing work.
It is pertinent to mention here that a plea for the stay order against the restoration of Chairman PEMRA had been sought.
