ESHAWAR: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday visited the Army Public School that reopened 26 days after a deadly attack by militants in which around 140 children were martyred.
The COAS, along with his wife, met parents and students besides attending the school assembly. Gen Raheel along with children sang national anthem and a prayer ‘Lab pe aati hai duaa ban ke tamanna meri.’
He appreciated the courage of students and their parents. Everyone is in high spirits…this nation is unbeatable,” he was quoted as saying by the ISPR.
Army Public School Peshawar was attacked by terrorists on December 16. Since then winter vacations of schools across the country were extended due to security threats.
