CM Punjab orders judicial inquiry of Daska incident

LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to launch a judicial inquiry into the killings of two lawyers in Daska town of Sialkot district.
Reacting to the killing of lawyers, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed Chief Secretary to write a letter to Chief Justice of Lahore High Court to form a judicial commission. He said that a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) be also set up to probe the issue.
Two lawyers, including President of Daska Bar, Khalid Abbas, were killed and two others were wounded when police opened fire on protesting lawyers in front of DPO office. The killings triggered protests across Punjab.
