KARACHI: The Sindh government districts administration and provincial investigative agencies among regional ombudsman offices also failed to take the culprits and heavy corruptions over a decade in various departments.
It is unfortunately several key departments particularly health, education, irrigation, local government, police and others witnessed heavy misappropriation of funds and the district government administration were the part of such practices and meetings.
The Sindh government has authorized Deputy Commissioners through a notification to monitor and review schemes initiated under annual development plan in their respective areas of jurisdiction.
As per notification, the DCs would be termed as Supervising and Monitoring Officers of Development Schemes in the relevant districts.
It is pertinent to be mentioned here that there is no proper accountability of line departments’ officials on secretary and DG level. The concerned officials are enjoying full support of their secretaries, Chiefs, DGs, DCs and politicals.
A worst situation in Sindh government departments and there is no any rational approach for good governance or proper functioning of institutions, while regarding the development heavy misuse of funds in the infrastructures of buildings and constructions of education or health sectors are witnessed sub-standard work and the projects in doldrums reliably learnt.
The concerned DCs are playing their role as personal servant of every political government to obey any kind of illegal and corrupt practices despite of their job to serve as institutional backbone unfortunately.
The Sindh government still not serious over the illegal practices, which are common in province and further the authorities agreed to conduct monthly review of development schemes as per annual development program in their respective districts and forward the relevant reports to the authorities on
