DADU: A big number residents of Mohalla Kamaluddin Solangi held protest on Friday against WAPDA-SEPCO officials for not replacing burnt transformer and bifurcate Phulji feeder from city.
Angry protestors of Mohalla Kamaluddin Solangi carrying pla cards, staged demonstration outside Dadu press club and raised slogans against WAPDA-SEPCO officials for not replacing burnt transformer with new one and bifurcation of Phulji feeder from city. Protestors were led by Ali Akber, Waheed Ali, Imdad Ali, Liaquat Bughio, Lal Shah and others.
Talking to this reporter after holding demonstration, Waheed Ali told that 100KV electricity transformer of Mohalla Kamaluddin Solanig burnt on second day of EID and residents were deprived of electricity. He said that he had informed local SEPCO officials but burnt transformer was not replaced with new one yet. He told that local SEPCO officials were providing illegal connection hence 100KV electricity transformer burnt on second day of EID.
Imdad Ali said that Mohalla Kamaluddin Solangi’s 100KV electricity transformer was deliberately installed on Phulji feeder (feeder for rural areas). He said that Mohalla Kamaluddin Solangi is in Dadu city not is rural area. He said that due to some SEPCO officials, our electricity transformer was deliberately shifted on Phulji Feeder. He said that SEPCO officials also know that up to sixteen hours of prolonged electricity load shedding was carried out on this Phulji feeder. He said that we are living in 21st century and deprived from electricity up to sixteen hours a day.
Residents of Mohalla Kamaluddin Solangi appealed to WAPDA-SEPCO Chief Executive Officer, Munawar Nazir Abassi, Superintendent Engineer Dadu, Mohammad Khan Soho and other concerned authorities to take notice of these issues faced by Mohalla Kamaluddin Solangi. Residents also demanded to direct concerned officials to replace burnt transformer with new one and bifurcate Phulji feeder from city and install our transformer on City feeder.
