FAISALABAD – The death toll from the latest spate of Chickenpox epidemic in Faisalabad climbed to 12 on Saturday.
According to reports, around 40 patients including three doctors of Allied Hospital have been admitted to the hospital so far. However, shortage of vaccine has also been causing problems for patients in all big cities of Punjab.
“Punjab Government has provided the vaccines which will be available in next few days,” hospital officials told Online News Agency.
Majority of the patients are minors, while the doctors are more concerned about the aged patients. “A senior doctor said that the deadly virus can spread in all over the country if solid measures are not taken in time,” the official added.-
