Champions return homeland amid warm welcome

KARACHI/ LAHORE: Nine members of Pakistan’s ICC Champions Trophy winning team will return home in the wee hours of Tuesday amid warm welcome from officials and fans. Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair, Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar, and hundreds of Pakistan cricket team fans, bearing flowers gathered at the Airport to greet the National Cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed and Rumman Raees. Whereas Provincial Sports Minister Jahangir Khanzada, Lahore Mayor Colonel (R) Mubashir Javed, Education Minister Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan and hundreds of other citizens welcomed Hasan Ali, Babar Azam, Fahim Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Ahmed Shahzad at Allama Iqbal International Airport. They were presented flower bouquets and showered with rose petals.
