KARACHI: The Hindu community in Sindh and across the country is celebrating the festival of Holi on Sunday. Pakistan People’s Party co-chairmen Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have felicitated Hindu community on the occasion. In his message, Zardari said the festival of Holi symbolises the triumph of good over evil and of light over darkness. “May the celebrations today also usher in peace, prosperity and joy not only in the lives of Hindus but in the lives of all people,” he said. He said the underlying message of this symbolism is that instead of cursing the darkness we should light a candle, and instead of perpetuating hatred we should plant the seeds of love. The former president took this opportunity to assure the Hindu community and all minorities that the PPP stands by them in their struggle against religious apartheid.
