BID TO BLOW UP RAILWAY TRACK FOILED
SHIKARPUR: Jacobabad police claimed to have foiled a sabotage bid of blasting railway track before the arrival of Khushhal Khan Khattak Express which was headed to Peshawar from Karachi near Thul of District Jacobabad in the limits of Bahoo Khoso police station and arrested a miscreant Lal Muhammd Nandwani Aka Lalu on Tuesday morning.
The police arrested one terrorist Lal Muhammd Nandwani Aka Lalu when he and his other accomplice fitting explosive material in a railway track and shifted him to unspecified place for interrogation.
While his other accomplice escaped away from place of scene.
Police have recovered 5 KG explosive substance and a motorcycle from the possession of arrested miscreant.
Further police investigation is underway, SSP Jacobabad said.
FIR was not registered till this news was filed.

SHIKARPUR: To encourage students morale and to highlight the basic problems to students of Government Girls Primary School (GGPS) Jahan Khan in this connection a traditional program organized by Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) Hyderabad in collaboration with OxfamNavib on Tuesday.
The Deputy District Officer (DDO) Shikarpur Intizar Ahmed Shaikh was a chief guest on the occasion.
The students of Government Girls Primary School were presented tableaus and speeches in Sindhi and English languages.
Addressing on the occasion Abida Zafar the filed In-charge said that SPO has launched a program citizens first human security in Pakistan in which we are highlighting basic problems then we are moving its problems to higher authorities with full support of SPO while we are delivering an awareness amongst people to get their rights, further more the students of entire country are our future but who are facing several troubles adding more she said Government Primary School is deprived boundary wall, bathrooms, acute shortage of drinking water and dilapidated condition of school roofs which resulted students of the school are facing hardships while parents are not allowing permission to their girls for the school due to lack of facilities as a result girls have been deprived from education.
Furthermore she requested to Deputy District Officer (DDO) Shikarpur to take steps to resolve the fundamental rights of students.
Speaking on the occasion headmistress Madam Shamsul Nisa Soomro said that due to lack of basic facilities parents of the students are not leaving their daughters to school in this regard I have written a letter to concerned authorities about lack of facilities but despite of that concerned authorities have not taken any notice so far.
Deputy District Officer (DDO) Shikarpur Intizar Ahmed Shaikh said that very soon their problems will be resolved and felicitated to Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) Hyderabad to highlight the important and basic issues of girls.
On the eve of traditional event prizes were distributed amongst the girls who participated in tableaus, speeches.
Pervaiz Ahmed Abro, SPO representative of Shikarpur, Abdul Kareem were also addressed on the occasion.
Parveen Akhtar, Sameena and other school teachers of the school were also present on the occasion.
PEACE & TOLERANCE SEMINAR HELD
SHIKARPUR: The Unique Development Organization (UDO) Shikarpur organized a seminar entitled was “Peace & Tolerance” at AR Foods hotel Hathi gate Shikarpur to enhance awareness about peace and tolerance amongst youths here on Tuesday.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shikarpur Abid Saleem Qureshi was a chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Executive Officer (CE) UDO, Dr Naveed Mahar said that I believe in peace & tolerance and peace and tolerance is very vital for our society particularly in youths adding more Unique Development Organization (UDO) is non profitable organization and its purpose to enhance awareness, morale, peace and tolerance amongst youths because a better nation could work for development, prosperity of Pakistan.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shikarpur Abid Saleem Qureshi said that peace and tolerance are very important for us because terrorist activities are continuing while youths are being used by terrorists and hailed the efforts of Unique Development Organization (UDO).
Certificates and shields were also distributed on the occasion.
Religious leader Qari Mujeebul Rahman Madani, Adil Dayo, Shoieb Hakro, District Coordinator Unique Development Organization (UDO) Shikarpur Amjad Ali Jalbani, Fahad Shahzad Solangi, Jabar Jeho, Nazeer Soomro were also addressed.
GHOTKI: A widow and her brother were found dead under mysterious circumstances in their house Monday in Daharki.
Rukhsana Buriro 32, and Uziar Buriro were found slit throat with some sharp edge weapon.
Over the cries of children inside house the neighbors informed the police; police reached on the spot, took bodies to Civil Hospital Daharki and handed over to the heirs after autopsy.
It is worthwhile to mention that Advocate Aslam Buriro, husband of victim Rukhsana was also murdered few years ago over property dispute; however police failed to arrest the murderers of Aslam.
After the murder of Aslam, a police picket was formed near the house of victims.
An FIR no. 224/2015 have been registered on the application of victim’s father Muhammad Siddique Buriro against Azam Buriro, Nadeem Buriro, Saleem Buriro, and three unidentified persons.
LG Election’s tough contest expected in district Badin
BADIN: Badin election campaign in full swing in Badin. According to list of voters of district Badin 6’40818 men and women voters would enjoy their right to select their political leaders. Candidates of various parties and alliance commenced their work and started to hold corner meetings with villagers and various communities. It should mentioned that tough contest in LG election would be held between PPP and Dr Mirza alliance in district Badin. Former home Minister, Dr Zulfiqar Mirza seemed active to conduct meetings with various communities when Dr Aziz Memon & MNA, Sardar Kamal Khan Chang are also commenced to hold meetings with various communities of Badin.
In LG election 118 candidates submitted form to contest 14 seats of ward members of Municipal Committee Badin & 90 ward members have deposited their forms on 12 wards of Matli Municipal Committee district Badin when 429 candidates filled forms for 264 seat of 10 town committees in district Badin.
Other hand 975 candidates have submitted their forms for general members at union council level for 264 general members in throughout the district Badin. Meanwhile 340 forms have been submitted for district Council members for contesting 68 seats of district Council members. Pakistan Peoples Party, Dr Zulfiqar Mirza Group, JUI, Pakistan Muslim League –N, Pakistan Muslim League-F, Arbab Group, Qoumi Awami Tehreek and some others parties including some independent candidates will be contest the LG election in district Badin.
