Basit hopes new Indian govt will positively respond to Nawaz Sharif’s vision

NEW DELHI: Pakistan High Commissioner, Abdul Basit here Sunday said that his country would hold talks with the new Indian government for the resolution of issues and disputes between the two countries for lasting peace.

In an exclusive interview here, Abdul Basit said that the lasting working relationship between the Nawaz Sharif government and the new Indian government emerging in June 2014 could not be maintained for long and added that the contentious issues would have to be resolved forever.

Pakistan High Commissioner expressed the hope that the upcoming Indian government would give a positive response to the Nawaz Sharif’s vision and would help resolve all irritant issues on permanent basis.
