SYDNEY: Australian has announced 14-member ODI squad for New Zealand tour. Steve Smith will remain the captain while in form Usman Khawaja has not made it in the squad and spinner Nethan Levin is replaced by Adam Zampa who is being selected for the first time.
Australia will visit New Zealand in February to play three ODI and two Test matches. ODI matches will be played on February 3, 6 and 8 will Steve Smith remaining the captain.
Chief Selector Rodney Marsh has said that the team which beat India 4-1 in the home series is left intact and only spinner Nethan Levine is replaced by Adam Zampa. Disagreeing over dropping Usman Khawaja Selector Mark Waugh called Usman the best opener in the world at present who could play at any position.
The 14-member Australian ODI squad comprises captain Steve Smith, David Warner, Aaron Finch, George Bailey, Scott Boland, James Faulkner, John Hastings, Josh Hazel, Shaun Marsh, Mitchell Martin, Kane Richardson, Mathew Wade and Adam Zampa.
