ROME: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday called on Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni, while on a 3-day official visit to the country.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army chief met the Italian Foreign Minister and discussed the regional security with him in detail.
The Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni appreciated the efforts made by Pakistan Army to bring peace to the region.
The role played by Pakistan army for regional security is admirable, he added. FM said that Pakistan Army is a great hope for peace in the region.
General Raheel Shairf also visited the Defense and Security Industrial Group.
