KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday approved increase in number of military courts in Karachi to handle the outstanding terrorists cases.
He was chairing a high level meeting at Corps Headquarter to review the law and order situation of Karachi. The meeting was attended by the Corps Commander, DGs ISPR & Rangers, Chief Secretary, IGP and representatives of the Intelligent Agencies.
The COAS was briefed on latest security situation in Karachi. The Army chief commended all ranks of Rangers, Police, Intellgence agencies, and particularly the support of Karachi’s people
During meeting, Gen Raheel Sharif said that across the board operation will continue to eliminate terrorists, criminals and mafias from Karachi.
He directed to break evil nexus between terrorists, criminal mafias and ensure removal of violence and corruption for peaceful Karachi.
