SHAHDADPUR: The locals here on Saturday captured an alleged looter named Mithal Zardari from Hala Chowk who was allegedly snatching from a shopkeeper named Mukesh, he was handed over to police after being beaten by the locals.
However, he was kept in the local police station for four hours, after which he was shot in the leg in an alleged police encounter near NADRA Chowk.
The police claimed that two snatchers tried to loot a shopkeeper named Mukesh, when the local police on petrol heard the shouts and opened fires in which one looter named Mithal Zardari got injured, while the other absconder managed to flee from the scene.
Meanwhile, the injured Mithal Zardari told media that he went to the shop to purchase cigarettes, when the local police came and grabbed him and blind-folded his eyes, he was physically tortured and then shot on leg, after which he was taken hospital.
While the relatives of the injured told media that they possess land and their man is not involved in any criminal activity, despite of that police showing a fake encounter has made him half fry and have demanded the concerned authorities to take serious notice in this regard.
