Altaf urges govt. to avoid violent crackdown on PAT workers

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movemnet (MQM) Quaid Altaf Hussain Sunday urged upon the government to refrain from resorting to violent means to crush Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) observing Yaum-e-Shuhada.

Talking to media, Alltaf Hussain advised Punjab government to let the PAT observe their Yaum-e-Shuhada without any police intervention and disturbing peace. He said no such steps should be taken by the Punjab government that could lead to chaos and grave law and order situation.

Altaf Hussain directed MQM (Punjab) workers to lend helping hands to Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation in distribution of food and beverage among the participants of Yaum-e-Shuhada.

MQM Quaid also expressed his heartfelt condolence over the deaths of PAT workers and policemen in violent incidents.
