KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Irrigation & Information Nisar Ahmed Khuhro termed the demand by Altaf Hussain to UN forces deployment in Karachi is unrealistic, unwanted and unconstitutional.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Mr Khuhro said that Pakistan is a sovereign state and hence PPP condemns the demand of Altaf Hussain for UN forces in Karachi. “This demand is unpatriotic and illegal, It has hurt widely the feelings of Nation,” adding that the “Altaf Hussain’s request for Indian help is a highly undesirable demand knowing well that the Indian mind set is anti Pakistan and against it, which resulted in breaking Pakistan he said.
It may be noted that Altaf Husain written letter to Secretary General of UN demanding for deployment of UN forces in Karachi. He has also stated that India is coward and seeing the killings of Muhajirs quietly.
The article 5 of the constitution demands total loyalty to Pakistan and hence PPP demands from the federal government to constitute a high level commission to investigate this violation of constitution made by Altaf Hussain.
The Irrigation & Information Minister said that targeted operation in Karachi being conducted by Police and Rangers is against the terrorists and criminals not against any political party, “It is an indiscriminate operation.” he clarified and added that the targeted operation has produced good results and peace has finally returned to the city.
PPP further demands from Altaf Hussain to with draw the letter written to UN immediately and unconditional pardon from the state.
