KARACHI: There is no security surveillance scanners of CCTV at various shrines in Sindh despite of heavy allocated funds worth Rs 1447.216 million could not be utilized before new budget.
Auqaf Sindh had allocated funds Rs 20 million to cop up terrorist activities and security surveillance by installation of CCTV cameras, walk through gates, scanners at various shrines of Sindh, but not as yet.
It is observed that aftermath of blast at Karachi Abdullah Shah shrine, Auqaf Sindh may be learn the lesson, which is still unknown to protect the lives of common men despite of allocated funds issued for the objectives to protect the devotees and shrines/Dargahs in Sindh.
Sindh Government Department Auqaf, Zakat Ushr and religious Affairs completely failed to manage security and surveillance system even composed walls and other development work lapse of years despite of allocated heavy funds after tenders. The fruitless authorities of concerned department put all the places at risk with no security and safety of devotees.
There are several schemes of various shrines in Karachi, Hdyerabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Khairpur, Jamshoro, Dadu, Badin, Mattiari, T.M Khan, Thatta and other areas still in doldrums.
The security risk and improper facilitation at all districts of shrines witnessed, allocated heavy budget Rs. 1447.216 million since 2013-14 and 2015 could be utilized by the inefficient department.
Sources disclosed that millions of ongoing development schemes were shown in the papers but no proper development work carried out earlier or fake schemes observed.
The authorities facing court cases, they made illegal appointments even violation of Supreme Court orders told a petitioner to this scribe. All parts of Sindh shrines put on stake and criminal activities are a large, where hundred and thousands devotees reached and attend rituals.
There is complete mismanagement and no check and balance or facilitation to manage and monitor the issues by the officials.

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information and local Governmen Sharjeel Inam memon has announced that 1000 free water tankers services will start from Monday in city and this free service will be for affected areas where the acute water shortage reported.
He announced this on Sunday while talking to the media after the high level meeting with the management of Karachi Water Sewerage Board and city administration held to review the water crisis in city. Sharjeel Memon said that these tankers services would be free of cost and government would increase the tankers from 1000 to 3000 in holy Ramzan to overcome the crisis.
He said the shortage of water is the main cause of the crisis but the government taken steps to overcome this crisis with management of distribution and other steps as well.
He said the holidays of the KWSB employees have been cancelled while meters have been installed on main 16 waterlines and 24 would be installed very soon to control the leakages and theft.
The Minister said that a committee comprising deputy commissioners, chief engineers and Executive Engineers have been formed to monitoring the free tankers supply service. He said the connections of 62 water parks have been disconnected while the theft of water for industries is being checked and would be disconnected if found theft of water.
Sharjeel said that the management of water board has taken short-term and long-term decisions for the water management and to overcome the crisis and the increase the water supply in city. He said 162 MGD increased for the city immediately. The minister said the city needed 1000 MGD while the water is available 550MGD and government trying to proper distribution of water with good management.
He said the progress of K4 project is slow because of delay tactics in the previous regimes but the present government taken steps for speedup in the progress and the government will provide 13500 acres land for this project.
To a question the minster said most of the areas of Surjani, New Karachi, Metrowll, Orangi, Site and Keamari are affected of shortage of water and government would overcome this crisis with free water tankers service for which the government would bear the expenses of these services.

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information and local Governmen Sharjeel Inam memon has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and CJ of Sindh High Court to take notice of the illegal activities of Dr Zulfiqar Mirza who moving with 50 to 60 armed people and challenging the writ of the government. The Minister said that courts allowed Mirza to carry private guards and the person is violating the law and directed his armed guard to kill police and others if they stop them.
He said Mirza came in police station along with his private armed guards and showed the weapon before the media.
He said Chief Minister is a good administrator and he is capable to handle the law and order and he is doing well. He said the CM and minister home can give policy guide and law enforcement agencies follow the guide line. He said the Safora incident is a national tragedy and police and law enforcement agencies have found some evidences and the culprits would be apprehended very soon.
The Minister said the terrorists are well trained and police is being providing training to tackle them for which the government provided equipments and weapons to police.
