KARACHI: An alleged target killer have arrested, affiliation with a political party police claimed, on Sunday.
As pr details, the accused confessed who had killed Mufti Niazamuddin Shamzai and three other religious scholars in Karachi in May 2004.
He also murdered Maulan Abdul Majeed Deenpuri, Hafiz Muhammad Ehsan Ali Shah and Mufti Sahel Muhammad Qazi in 2013.
According to police, the accused was arrested during an encounter with police in Federal Industrial Area. He has confessed to killing Mufti Shamzai and seven other people, police added.
While, the alleged mastermind behind killing of journalist Aftab Alam was arrested by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed, on Sunday.
According to the CTD, the three other suspects ware arrested, identified by the mastermind. CTD said that the suspects were also involved in killing of Senior jounalist Aftab Alam.
However, mobile phones and arms were also recovered from the custody of suspects.
