7 people still missing in Karachi airport attack by terrorists

KARACHI: Rescue operation for the recovery of seven trapped persons in the cold storage of Cargo complex is underway.

The teams of Army Engineering Core, Rangers, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and others are taking part in the rescue operation.

According to details, during the attack, local employees of a foreign company took refuge in the cargo complex, however, they could not come out after fire erupted there.

The relatives of the stranded person strongly protested outside the airport building for the recovery of the beloved ones.

A high level official of CAA told Geo News here that after the end of terrorist attack, they come to know about the trapped people in the cargo complex.

Manager Karachi airport Afsar Malik had also informed DG CAA, however, all the officials concerned were busy in providing protocol to government high ups and could not pay attention towards the missing people.

Sources said CAA has latest fire fighting system, however, after passage of more than 25 hours fire could not be brought under control.
