MITHI: A 50-year-old man, Mansigh committed suicide in village Hothiar near Mithi town on Friday by strangulating himself in a tree of the village.
As per details, he was reportedly upset due to the poverty. While after the increasing trend of the suicides in drought-hit Thar SSP Thar, Mr Sarfaraz Nawaz Shaikhh talking to this reporter informed that he had directed all six SHOs of the district to furnish him the detailed report of the suicides of past five years so that same should be sent to high-ups.
He deplored that during past three years nearly 150 mostly women committed suicides in various areas of Thar.
