MITHI: Three more children have died due to pneumonia and other diseases in drought-hit Tharparkar on Thursday, bringing the death toll to 227 in last 74 days.
The children have died in Mithi, Chhachhro, Islamkot, Nangarparkar and other areas of the district, where death has become a routine, unfortunately.
The number of dying children is increasing especially after the onset of winter, as they are affected rapidly by chest infections, like pneumonia.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has constituted a two-member commission to probe into the situation of Tharparkar but so far the government has failed in controlling the situation.
