JAMSHORO: More than 25 villages of Kacho area in district Jamshoro drowned as water level increased near Sehwan Sharif on Thursday, while people have shifted to nearby towns. On the other Sindh government or district government has not reached for the rescue of the people.
While stone pitching at Talti L S embankment has not done properly, and millions of rupees allocated of repair and maintenance of embankment are not utilized at all by irrigation department, due to which all the embankments at near Sehwan Sharif and administration has failed to take any measure in this regard.
The Deputy Commissioner, Jamshoro, Munawar Ali Mehasar told that 4 lac cusec water would run from Indus River, while at the moment 1.5 lac water is flowing from Saeedabad to Kotri, Jamshoro, it is not a worrying situation but the precautionary measures are being taken and administration would take total care of flood effected people.
