22 MQM MNAs formally withdraw resignations

ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) members of the National Assembly (NA) on Thursday have formally forwarded a plea to withdraw their resignations.
Khalid Maqbool Siddique and Asif Husnain could not appear because of other commitments. At least 22 MNAs belonging to MQM have filed the plea in the Speaker Chamber out of the total 24. Siddique is believed to be out of the country. Owing to the absence of the acting speaker and NA secretary, the plea was filed in the chamber.
It is worthwhile to mention here that on August 12, the party resigned from the Parliament and the Sindh Assembly for reason that it was being allegedly victimized of the ongoing Karachi operation.
