21 June will be the longest day of year

KARACHI: Tomorrow, 21 June 2015, will be the longest day of the year in Pakistan.
The longest day is called the ‘Summer Solstice’. Solstice is defined as either of the two times of the year at which the sun is furthest north or south of the equator.
The Summer Solstice falls on June 21 while the Winter Solstice falls on December 22 in these countries. The Summer Solstice marks the peak of summer when the sun comes closest to the northern hemisphere.
