18 more devotees die as death toll reaches at 35 on 2nd day of Urs in Sehwan Sharif


DADU: 16 more devotees were died due to heatstroke at various places and two others drowned in Sapna Lake on Wednesday in Sehwan Sharif town on second day of 762 annual Urs of Sufi saint of Hazrat Qalandar lal Shahbaz. While death toll of devotees reached at 35.

Those died their names were identified as: 67 years old, Rana Mohammad Yaseen son of Mohammad Sadique resident of Sargodha, 60 years old, Basharat resident of Lahore, 50 years old, Arif Gul resident of Lahore, 60 years old, Abdul Majeed son of Karam u ddin resident of Sahiwal, 55 years old Manzoor Hussaiun son of Allah Wasayo resident of Bahawalpur, 45 years old, Mumtaz Hussain son Ghulam Abbas resident of Lya, Aisha Bibi wife of Rashid resident of Lahore, 50 years old, Mohammad Bux, Mohammad Qasim, Mohammad Ashraf and Safdar Hussain.

Edhi volunteers found dead bodies of six unknown persons from different places of Sehwan town and its surrounding areas those also died in heat stroke, their names could not be ascertained. Those ages are as: 60 to 65 years old unknown man from station road, 50 years old man from Lal Hawili, 50 years old person from bus stand Arazi, 40 years old person from Bandar Mohalla, 30 years old person from Lal Bag.


Two devotees those drowned included: 40 years old person, 28 years old Sarfaraz resident of Orangi Karachi drowned at Spna lake near Sehwan town.
