QUETTA: A trawler overturned on Karachi-Quetta national highway in Mangochar area of Kalat district, on Monday, leaving at least 12 people dead and 22 injured.
Levies Force confirmed the incident and said that a trawler overturned on Karachi-Quetta national highway which left 12 people dead and 22 injured. “The driver lost control on driving after the trawler developed break-fail technical fault and the vehicle overturned in bazaar of Mangochar on Karachi-Quetta national highway,” Levies officials said, adding that at least 12 persons died and 22 others sustained critical injuries.
The rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the dead and injured to hospital. Later, some of the injured were referred to Quetta due to their serious condition.
The trawler was on way from Karachi to Quetta. The most of the victims include daily wagers, shopkeepers and passersby. The Levies Force has been investigating into the incident. Further, probe was underway.
