POVERTY, HUNGER IN SINDH DUE TO MASS CORRUPTION AT OFFICIAL LEVEL

Pakistan Tehrik Insaf leader Arif Alvi has said that the problems faced by people in Sindh including poverty, hunger, dearth of health and education and even non availability of clean water for drinking was due mainly to mass scale corruption by officers and PPP rulers. He was addressing news conference.
He said during last more than 6 years PPP has given nothing than miseries and pathos to people of Sindh. He said though there was scorching heat which caused more than 1200 deaths in the province but power outage was also one reason for which K electric and federal government were responsible but province government was equally responsible as it has failed to save the heat stroke patients brought to government hospitals the reason again being corruption with very little of health budget is utilized on medicines.
He said the government jobs are sold and recently 1500 government jobs in Tando Ghulam Hyder, 1000 in Hyderabad Rural and 800 in Qasimabad were given on bribery. He said due to inefficiency the other forces get space. Arif Alvi who is also organizer of party in Sindh and MNA was of the view the MQM uses Muhajir card and PPP uses Sindh card but both have been looting the wealth of province with both hands.
He said Sindh produces 70% of country’s total gas but it has been deprived of royalty but federal government was getting surcharges. He said the people were collecting dead bodies of their dear ones but the government was sleeping in deep slumber.
Khwand Bux Jahejo former Nazim and organizer of Hyderabad district, Mustansir Billah and others were present on the occasion.

HEATWAVE CLAIMS THREE LIVES

SHIKARPUR:
A elderly man identified as 50-years old Qadan Hakro residential of Madeji town District Shikarpur, another person identified as 48-years old Shafi Muhammad died at News Anaj Mandi Shikarpur while another child named Abid Ali of 4-years son of Baboo Kumbhar were died due to heat wave here on Sunday.
Later on they were laid to rest in their ancestral graveyards after offering their funeral prayers at their native places.

ARREST OF JOURNALIST KILLERS DEMANDED

SHIKARPUR:
The journalists of Shikarpur staged a protest demonstration to arrest the killers of journalist Zafarullah Jatak who was killed in firing at home in Usta Muhammad by unidentified armed men on Sunday.
Addressing on the occasion senior journalist Sultan Rind and Waheed Phulpoto said that the government has failed to protect lives of journalists, who have been killed to write the truth and journalists have been targeted despite of that government has not taken any steps to protection of the journalists.
On the occasion journalists including Muhammad Parial Marri, Rahim Bux, Wajjid Bhutto, Sikandar Siddiqui, Kamran Siddiqui, Muhammad Ibrahim Brohi and others have demanded of the authorities concerned to take immediate step to arrest killers of Zafarullah Jatak, otherwise they threatened to extend their protest circle.

DEATHS IN SINDH NOT UNDER HEAT BUT WORST GOVERNANCE: AWAMI WORKERS PARTY

Awami Workers Party has said that the large scale deaths in Sindh were not due to only reason of heat wave but due to capitalist system,bad governance and apathy on part of rulers. The party said the tragic incidents were naked expression of anti human policy of the rulers. This was stated by AWP general secretary Buxul Thalho while addressing rally here Sunday.
The rally was taken out from Old Campus to press club to express solidarity with the victim families of those died in Sindh under heat wave and long load shedding of electricity.
The participants of rally were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against government. Thalho said the rulers were trying to hide their inefficiency behind excuse of heat.
He said Roti Kapra and Makan were far away but the rulers could not provide water, gas and electricity to people in last 67 years.
He said government has 9600 acres of land to given in rewards to armed personnel but can’t have 2 yards land for burying dead. Vice president Latif Inqilabi said if the reason for 1500 plus deaths was heat then why people do not die of this reason in hot Middle East states.
Alia Buxul,comrade Ghulam Hussain and Sarmad Azad also addressed the rally.
