MAIDUGURI: As many as 47 people were killed and 52 injured as blast at a market in northeastern Nigeria’s Borno state, a military source and a civilian joint task force member said on Tuesday.
The explosion, in a region where hundreds of people have been killed in attacks by suspected members of militant Islamist group Boko Haram in the last few weeks, struck the town of Sabon Gari at around 1.30 p.m. (1230 GMT), the sources said.
