FO lodges protest with India over woman killing

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has lodged protest with India over latest unprovoked ceasefire violations at the Line of Control (LoC), besides condemning the killing of a woman.
The Indian Deputy High Commissioner was called in the Foreign Office on Tuesday by the Director General (SA & SAARC) to lodge a protest with the Government of India over the killing of a young
lady on August 8.
Pakistan also condemned the latest unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian security forces at the LoC in Nakial sector near Kotli and Bhimber Gali sector on 9th August, in which Pakistani
posts were targeted, said a press release from the office of spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Government of Pakistan expressed its deep concern over the continuous unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian side at the LoC and the Working Boundary.
The Indian security forces had committed 37 and 24 unprovoked ceasefire violations at the LoC and the Working Boundary in the months of July and August respectively.
