KARACHI: Sindh Police Special Security Unit is now ISO certified. It is a first ever Counter Terrorism and Security outfit of Police in the country to be certified as ISO. The United Kingdom Accreditation Systems (UKAS) has certified the SSU on its outstanding professional quality services. It is a great milestone achieved by SSU on maintaining its state of the art security services.
SSU is now in the list of the world’s finest security organizations certified as International Standard Organization by UKAS Britain. Most of the ISO recognized organizations comprises the top companies present in the USA, Britain and in Europe etc. It is to be noted that the world’s premier police units which includes Arizona Phoenix Police Department and Dubai Police are also ISO 9001:2008 certified.
The SSU is fully prepared for counter-terrorism operations and provides fool-proof security cover to sensitive installations and important personalities. The recruitment and induction in SSU is made purely on merit and recruitment tests are conducted by the National Testing Service. It is an asset for Sindh Police for having a Unit which is internationally recognized by ISO for its remarkable and professional public services and serves as role model for others.
