Three dead as oil tanker catches fire in Karachi

KARACHI: Two people were killed and several vehicles burnt when an oil tanker caught fire on Super Highway near DHA City Karachi, Motorway police said.
As per details, four other people sustained burnt injuries and were shifted to nearby hospital. Rescue sources said the oil tanker, en route to Hyderabad from Karachi, turned turtle after tyre burst, causing huge pile up.
The tanker caught fire later on. Initially two fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene but due to greater intensity of the fire two more were summoned.
Both the tracks of superhighway were closed after the accident and traffic was suspended.
