LARKANA: Former president and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said that although Benazir Bhutto had died, but she taught us the way how to keep the nation united.
Addressing a ceremony held at Naudero on Sunday to mark Benazir Bhutto’s 13th death anniversary, Zardari said the present government was incapable of running the country because running the country and captaining a cricket team were two different things.
He said when he was the president, he followed the politics of reconciliation; brought opponents closer.
Zardari was of the view that Pakistan and NAB could not go together.
Former president said Benazir struggled for democracy and endured hardships for that. He said Benazir’s two brothers were murdered; she was victimised, but she always said she believed in ‘Democracy is the best revenge’.
Asif Ali Zardari dared the government to hold elections to gauge its popularity in masses.
He further said still it was his effort that all political parties came together.
