Sartaj urges Afghan NSA to ensure Afghan soil is not used for terrorism inside Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz phoned Afghan National Security Adviser (NSA) Hanif Atmar on Friday and urged Afghan government not to allow Afghan soil to be used for terrorism in Pakistan.

The Adviser expressed serious concerns regarding terrorist activities in the country being operated from Afghan soil. Sartaj Aziz conveyed deep anguish and pain of people of Pakistan over recent terrorist attacks. He told the Afghan National Security Adviser (NSA) that terrorist group Jamat-ul-Ahrar (JUA) was behind these barbaric acts of terrorism.

Sartaj Aziz said it was important that Afghan government should take strong action against such elements to reaffirm that its soil was not used for terrorism in Pakistan.

The Afghan National Security Adviser expressed his government condolences over the loss of lives in the recent terrorist incidents in Pakistan
