KARACHI/ LAHORE: Security forces have gunned down commanders of banned outfits among 54 terrorists on Friday in numerous counter-terrorism operations across the country after a blast rocked Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine yesterday.
Personnel of law enforcement agencies have seized suicide vests and huge cache of weapons in different cities.
Security forces decimated ten hideouts of Jamaatul Ahrar and killed six terrorists in Khyber Agency’s Loe Shalman area near Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
In a joint operation of intelligence agencies and security personnel in Peshawar’s Regi, three extremists were killed while Kalashnikov and grenades were seized in their possession. Four terrorists were gunned down in Bakka Khel of Bannu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Two terrorists who had attacked a police van at a picket last night in Dera Ismail Khan were killed by law enforcement agencies in an operation in Kolachi area.

Four suicide vests, weapons and grenades were seized at the site. Forces gunned down two terrorists in Shangara Dara area near Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Dir Bala.
Two commanders of Tehrik-i-Taliban were killed during a coming operation in Quetta who were identified by names Moulvi Abdul Ghafoor and Jan Muahmmad Mehsud.
In another encounter with extremists near Faisalabad bypass in Sargodha, two terrorists were killed who are yet to be identified. Separately, a suicide bomber among nine terrorists have been killed in the latest of operations by Sindh Police at Sohrab Goth Toll Plaza.
Reportedly, all the nine terrorists belonged to Jamaatul Ahrar and were planning to attack Rangers headquarters.
While in Karachi Manghopir area, militants attacked by Rangers in retaliating to which six suspects were killed. Following the attack, security officers launched a search operation during which terrorists again resorted to firing. The Rangers officers struck back and killed five terrorists. The suspects have been identified as Tasadduq Hussain belonging to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Noshad Mama, Sheraz Ahmed, Sherzad, Azizullah,
The spokesman to Rangers revealed that another seven militants were killed in Kathore area. The officers have stated that hand grenades and latest weapons were recovered from the possession of the suspects. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), as many as three terrorists were killed whereas two officers got wounded in an encounter at Pak-Afghan border in Khyber Agency. In Loi Shalman, the security forces killed another six terrorists having affiliation with Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and destroyed their ten hideouts.
Meanwhile in Peshawar, security personnel stopped a car at check post near Regi area after which the militants opened firing. The officers gave befitting reply and killed three suspects while their accomplices managed to flee the scene. Furthermore, 12 militants were killed in Quetta, Dera Ismail Khan, Orakzai Agency and Bannu. The anti-terror raids were launched after Thursday’s blast at crowded shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan Sharif that claimed lives of 76 people and left more than 250 injured. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) group claimed the responsibility for the attack on their Aamaq news agency, saying a suicide bomber had targeted devotees at the shrine in Sindh.
7 terrorists killed in separate actions in Orakzai, Sargodha
KOHAT/SARGODHA: Following the spate of terrorist attacks in the country the security forces have step up their crackdown on suspected terrorists and their facilitators and killed five Islamic State (IS) terrorists in Orakzai Agency in an action. Sources said that the security forces conducted a search operation on a tip-off that terrorists were hiding in the area. The search operation ensued in an encounter during which five suspected terrorists were killed. The terrorists are said to be member of IS. They added that the terrorists were trained by the commander of banned outfit Hafiz Saeed Khan in Afghanistan, who were later dispatched to Pakistan for carrying out terrorist activities. Heavy amount of arms and ammunition were also recovered in the action. On the other hand, Counter Terrorism Department of Punjab Police killed two terrorists in an action in Mittha Tiwana area of Sargodha. Arms and explosive materials were also recovered from the terrorists.
