KARACHI: Danish Iqbal and Haider Ali Baig have won the Audi Quattro Cup Golf Championship 2015 at the Karachi Golf Course here the other day.
The all Pakistan championship was concluded on Saturday wherein Humera Khalid was the limelight of the concluding day as she won longest drive and nearest to pin awards.
Humera pairing with Abid Zaidi was runner up. Majid Paracha and Qaiser have won longest drive and nearest to pin awards Muhammad Rehan Farooqi and Hasan Raza Habib
won in handicap while Chaudhry Rashid Mahmood and Capt.
Javed Iqbal got second position. Danish Iqbal and Haider Ali would now travel to Mexico in November to represent Pakistan in Audi Quattro Cup World Golf Championship. As many as 109,000 golfers participated in the preliminary round.
CEO Audi Ali I Khan said that about 171 countries are taking part in final round being held in Mexico. He said that Audi has distributed prizes worth Rs3 million in the Pakistan’s most popular golf tournament. The Consul General of Germany, Dr Tilo

He congratulated the winners who will be leaving for final round. He appreciated the Audi Pakistan for sponsoring sports in Pakistan. CEO Audi Pakistan, Ali I Khan announced to hold next year’s Audi Quattro Cup in Islamabad. He said that Audi Quattro Cup is being held globally for the last 25 years and has become Pakistan’s no 1 golf tournament as well.

World famous boxing personality of England Raja Amjad familiar as Jack Khan visited Pak Shaheen Boxing Club, Lyari. He was accompanied with his colleague Muhammad Zahiron and Pakistan’s well known international coach Ali Bukhsh Baloch. Muhammad Hussain Qambrani, President of Pak Shaheen Boxing Club and Chief Coach Muhammad Younus Qambrani have warmly welcome to the delegation headed by Jack Khan. During visit Jack Khan watched show-bouts of the pugilists of Pak Shaheen Boxing Club and highly appreciated their performance and training level which meet to international criteria. Jack Khan has also awarded cash prizes to the participant pugilists of Pak Shaheen Boxing Club. On this occasion a well-know educational of the vicinity and the General Secretary of Kutchi Muslim Rahema Jamait, Abdul Hussain Rahema was also present there. Officials of Pak Shaheen Boxing Club, Lyari, Muhammad Hussain Qambrani and Muhammad Younus Qambrani have thanked to Jack Khan and his companions for heartening visit and technical tips to their pugilists and hoped that they will continue putting their efforts in promoting boxing in Lyari.
